Warm like wood. Smooth like
slate.
But otherwise, in a class by itself.
Imagine a roof where the casual style of a wood shake
shingle encounters the cool, muted colors of natural slate. That’s
what we did, and the result was a roofing medium unlike any other.
As befits its name, Independence Shangle® is unique and uncompromising.
Its distinctive surface is the product of an unusual color blending
process, but its underlying character comes from our patented Shangle®
design, featuring a one-piece full-size base shingle, random laminated
tabs and deep shadow lines for a dramatic, dimensional appearance no
other asphalt shingle can claim.
